San Francisco SPCA Holiday Windows at Macy's Union Square: this 30-year old holiday tradition is a wonderful expression of the holiday spirit in San Francisco. The windows feature adorable adoptable cats and dogs. Last year, volunteers helped send close to 300 animals to their forever homes and raised over $90,000 to help save lives. What better way to celebrate the holidays than to volunteer to be a greeter at Holiday Windows? Greeters do the important job of greeting the public, talking about the animals in the windows and about the SF SPCA, directing people to the adoption center inside, and asking for donations. Sign up now -- volunteer opportunities fill up quickly!
